Claire Porter is a singer/songwriter who has been described as a mix between Judy Garland and Tom Waits. She writes music about detritivores, love stories and tiramisu. You can find her weekly hosting an open mic at Erin’s Pub on Water Street in downtown St John’s or you can check out Claire Porter and the Stouts, a three piece that doesn’t make you ask for more. She’s a true blue Newfoundlander but she spent a decade gigging in Montreal, solo or with her band. She’s a tour de force and entertaining on stage, infusing her dry wit and attention for detail into every note.
